To celebrate our nation’s birth, my friends and I went to Red’s Indoor Range to shoot some guns. Since a couple of my friends hadn’t shot a gun before, we started off with a .22 pistol which was fun, easy to use, and not very “scary”. After firing off a few rounds each, we exchanged our guns for a Smith and Wesson 9mm semi-automatic pistol and a Smith and Wesson revolver (not sure what caliber round). These guns were more fun because of the increase in power. I was a little disappointed that my friends didn’t want to shoot any rifles. Red’s has an AR-15 and an AK-47 available to rent. Some of the other people shooting definitely had more powerful guns going by their volume. One of the guns made me jump/twitch each time it fired even when I knew it was coming. The great thing was that it turned out to be less expensive than I had thought. It also made me want to own a gun of my own so I can go shoot more.
